Someone said to me today (and I’m paraphrasing liberally here) to “Set the intention without an expectation. Results will emerge in their own time when you open that door.”
It strikes me a little bit like going to sleep. We can only set the conditions for sleeping, we can never force ourselves (or our three-year-olds) to fall asleep.
The intention here is to make an object with cutout swallows on a blue background, all in a little box. The intention is also to make an animated gif. I seriously considered making it a simple gif, but I figured it’s hard work anyway so I might as well go all the way.
That’s what the setup in the picture above is attempting to show. It’s a bit difficult to photograph, because my eight-year-old wanted his Technics back and I didn’t have time to setup a proper photoshoot. And the three-year-old put his foot in it when I tried.
The animation is about a third done. I’m not going to show you a work-in-progress. You have to wait for the big reveal.
