This story starts innocently with Antimony’s first adventure at her new school. It soon becomes clear that all is not as it seems – especially when a demon infests Annie’s wolf toy. But even the demon is not just evil but has a sad story to tell, of unrequited love.
The adventures of Annie and her friend Kat (who’s boyfriend flew away on bird’s wings) are told in a beautiful visual style. From the simplicity of the lines and to the pallet used, everything works together to weave an intricate but innocent tale of a school that is more than a school, about a girl who’s friends with psychopomps and foxes and robots.
And anything that involves psychopomps and foxes and robots are sure to intrigue me.
